Artist Bio:
Lynn Amacher, graphic designer/production coordinator at three local area newspapers, is a multi-talented
local artist who enjoys capturing nature through photography, as well as creating his own unique, computer generated and enhanced art.
He holds degrees from Parkland College in Visual Arts and Desktop Publishing. He is also certified in
InDesign CS2, and is a self-taught Photoshop expert.
His work has been featured in art shows at Anita Purves Nature Center, Urbana; Parkland Art Gallery,
Farmer City State Bank, Farmer City Library, Outreach Ministries, and Warner Library in Clinton, in
addition to other area shows.
For the past nine years he has been the recipient of numerous awards from the Illinois Press Association in Advertising Design and Cartoon categories.
His talents are also evident in his pen and ink drawings, watercolor paintings and acrylic paintings.
He is an avid photographer and enjoys photo restoration, photo colorization and web-designing, in addition to maintaining a history page
on his website and assisting non-profit groups to set up their own websites.
